WORSHIP is my WARSHIP - 2 Chronicles 20

In 2 Chronicles 20, King Jehoshaphat of Judah faces an imminent threat: an alliance of several enemy nations is preparing to attack Judah. ​​Worried, Jehoshaphat turns to God and proclaims a fast throughout the land. He calls the people to pray and seek divine help.

At this assembly, a prophet named Jaiaziel receives a revelation from God. He reassures the people that the battle is not theirs, but God's. He commands them not to fear and to prepare to see divine deliverance. Obeying God's word, Jehoshaphat and his army set out for battle, but instead of fighting, they sing praises to God. As they begin to sing, God causes confusion among the enemies, who turn on each other and eliminate each other.

At the end of the battle, the men of Judah find a field filled with riches left behind by their defeated enemies. They gather up these spoils and return home, praising God for his faithfulness and deliverance. This chapter shows the importance of faith, prayer, and praise in times of crisis, as well as God's power to save and deliver his people.
